Mechanical Engineer
Location: Rīga, Latvia · Salary: €2,500–3,500 gross

Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at LivoSystems, you’ll design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and components across UAV and electro‑optical projects. Your ideas and problem‑solving will directly influence field performance and manufacturability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
  • Develop solutions to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Run feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation: drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly; resolve build issues.
  • Stay current with engineering technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Hands‑on experience in mechanical design, analysis, and testing.
  • Proficiency with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; clear communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Good Latvian and fluent English.

Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Rīga, Latvia · Salary: €2,800–3,500 gross

Role

Lead the design and development of electronic PCBs for UAV avionics and production/support equipment. Partner closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own circuit and PCB design to high standards of performance and reliability.
  • Oversee development of complex wiring harnesses and integration.
  • Maintain thorough documentation from concept to production.
  • Drive electrical, mechanical (vibration/shock), and thermal design validation.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electronics engineering, PCB design, and electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with simulation and scripting tools.
  • Experience in analog, digital, and power‑converter design.
  • Strong understanding of thermals, EMC, mechanical loads.
  • Interfaces: UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, Ethernet; high‑speed/low‑noise/low‑emission design.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation.
  • Fluent English.

Composites Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Rīga, Latvia · Salary: €2,300–2,800 gross

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to analyze problems and determine root causes; lead corrective actions.
  • Develop/support inspector test plans; ensure tests follow procedures and are documented.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation and ensure accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable regulations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and process discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience with quality management processes (FMEA, SPC, CAPA).
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and collaboration skills; high attention to detail.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, and software.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Dynamics.
  • Fluent Latvian and English; Russian is an advantage.

Program Manager (UAS)
Location: Rīga, Latvia · Salary: €4,300–5,000 gross

Role

Lead complex, customer‑focused UAS programs across their full lifecycle—from proposal and system design through manufacturing, delivery, and support. Keep performance, schedule, budget, and customer experience front and center.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end program execution; ensure milestones, budgets, deliverables.
  • Oversee internal R&D initiatives; drive innovation and on‑time outcomes.
  • Serve as primary customer contact; communicate progress, risks, and performance.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality).
  • Identify and mitigate risks; lead RCAs; resolve field issues.
  • Own P&L and performance metrics; report status and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or related (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years in program/project management in aerospace/UAV or similar.
  • Familiarity with NPD stage gates (e.g., PDR, CDR); PMP is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel for business as needed.
  • Fluent Latvian and English.
